SAN DIEGO -- D-backs outfielder AJ Pollock is on the move.
Pollock, who has been with Class A Advanced Visalia as part of his injury rehab assignment, will join Triple-A Reno on Saturday for what the organization hopes will be his final stop before being activated.
"He'll start getting out in the outfield a lot more and start playing nine innings and see how it feels," D-backs manager Chip Hale said.
Pollock has been on the disabled list since fracturing his elbow just three days before Opening Day. At the time it seemed Pollock would miss the entire 2016 season, but his recovery from surgery has gone far better than expected.
Pollock was 7-for-16 (.438) in six games for Visalia and also appeared in two games for the D-backs rookie Arizona League team.
Hale said if all goes as planned it's possible Pollock could rejoin the D-backs in around a week.
