Goldschmidt receptive to help with slow start

PHOENIX -- D-backs first baseman Paul Goldschmidt stood in front of his locker before Friday's game with the Giants and patiently answered questions about his slow start at the plate.
Goldschmidt showed signs of snapping out of his slump during Arizona's three-game series at Coors Field earlier this week going 5-for-12 with a homer before going 0-for-4 against the Giants on Thursday.
There has been no shortage of advice, but actual answers have been elusive.
"People want to help," Goldschmidt said of the unsolicited suggestions he's received. "If it's from fans, or friends, or coaches or teammates they want to be there to help. That's the way I would take any advice. I don't know everything. It's not like I have one way -- 'hey, it's my way and this is how I hit.' Everything I've learned is from players I've played with or against and hitting coaches that have talked to me. I take it as a compliment that people want to help and want me to play well."
In other D-backs news, outfielder David Peralta says his right wrist continues to improve and he hopes to be back in the lineup within the next couple of days.
D-backs manager Chip Hale said that if needed Peralta is available to pinch-hit.
