The deadline for tendering contracts came and went Friday with no surprises for the Diamondbacks, as they tendered contracts to all their players, aside from pitchers Tommy Henry and Taylor Rashi.
Henry had already been designated for assignment and Rashi was non-tendered to clear a 40-man roster spot for veteran catcher James McCann, who was re-signed Friday.
Arbitration-eligible players A.J. Puk, Ryan Thompson, Kevin Ginkel, Pavin Smith, Alek Thomas, Jake McCarthy, Gabriel Moreno and Ryne Nelson were all tendered contracts.

The Diamondbacks will have until Jan. 8 to reach an agreement with the arbitration-eligible players before the two sides must exchange arbitration figures. During Hazen's tenure, if a player and club don't agree before figures are exchanged, they likely go to an arbitration hearing.
"We feel like all those guys are in a good spot," Hazen said of the arbitration-eligible players. "We'll see where the offseason takes us from this point forward."
Just because those players were tendered contracts does not mean they will for sure be back with the Diamondbacks, as they could be traded during the coming months.
With the way the Arizona outfield aligns right now, in fact, it seems like either one of Thomas or McCarthy could wind up being dealt.
