Encarnacion, Rizzo set for big day at dish

The players listed below are in position to provide difference-making stats for DraftKings participants on Wednesday.
Edwin Encarnación: Since the outset of 2012, the first baseman has produced a .273/.364/.548 slash line against right-handers and a .274/.371/.559 line at his hitter-friendly home park. Encarnacion could add to his impressive 2016 totals of 27 homers and 87 RBIs across 366 at-bats when he hits at home against Padres rookie righty Luis Perdomo (6.93 ERA, 1.84 WHIP).

Michael Saunders: Hitting .287 with 19 homers across 331 at-bats, the outfielder has been a cost-effective option in many 2016 DraftKings contests. Saunders could continue his productive campaign when he hits at home against Perdomo and a Padres bullpen that ranks 25th in baseball with a 4.46 ERA.

Devon Travis: As a big leaguer, the second baseman has registered a .190 ISO against right-handers compared with a .162 mark vs. lefties. Travis could provide production at a premium position when he bats at his offense-inducing home park against the rookie righty Perdomo (4.86 FIP) and an unreliable Padres bullpen.
Anthony Rizzo: With 24 homers, 76 RBIs and a .394 on-base percentage, the first baseman has been one of the most productive players this season. Rizzo could go deep or drive in multiple runs when he brings his lifetime 138 wRC+ against right-handers (115 vs. lefties) into a matchup at hitter-friendly U.S. Cellular Field against righty Anthony Ranaudo (career 6.33 ERA, 1.56 WHIP).
Addison Russell: The second-year shortstop owns notable lifetime splits such as a .325 wOBA against right-handers that exceeds his .272 mark vs. lefties. Russell could have a terrific game when he faces the right-handed Ranaudo, who has thrown 58 1/3 innings since making his debut in 2014.
Jason Heyward: Hitting .228 this season, the outfielder could have a reduced price tag in DraftKings contests when he brings his lifetime .172 ISO against right-handers (.120 vs. lefties) into a matchup with the right-handed Ranaudo (career 6.76 FIP).

Chris Davis: With 148 homers since the outset of 2013, the first baseman is a prime candidate to go deep or drive in multiple runs when he hits at home against Jon Gray (career 4.52 ERA, 1.29 WHIP) and a Rockies relief corps that ranks 29th in baseball with a 4.88 ERA. Also of note: Camden Yards has proved to be especially power-inducing for lefty sluggers such as Davis.
Carlos González: The left-handed-hitting outfielder will be a prime candidate to rip a round-tripper or drive in multiple runs when he brings his stellar lifetime .935 OPS against right-handers (.749 vs. lefties) into a matchup at hitter-friendly Camden Yards. There, he will face righty Dylan Bundy, who owns a 1.52 WHIP in his short career and will be making his third big league start.
Starling Marte: Hitting .316 with 34 steals across 373 plate appearances, the outfielder has been a major contributor to many 2016 DraftKings squads. Marte has the plate skills to reach base often when he brings his lifetime .833 OPS against left-handers (.783 vs. righties) into a matchup with southpaw James Paxton (4.18 ERA, 1.51 WHIP in 2016) and the speed to swipe a base against Chris Iannetta, who has allowed more steals than all but seven catchers in 2016.
Francisco Cervelli: With a lifetime .799 OPS against left-handers that exceeds his .711 mark vs. righties, the catcher will be in great position to deliver production at a premium position when he tangles with the left-handed Paxton (career 1.32 WHIP).

Jake Lamb: Hitting .284 with 21 homers and 65 RBIs across 320 at-bats, the third baseman is in the midst of a breakout season. Lamb could continue to wield a productive bat when he brings his lifetime .212 ISO against right-handers (.153 vs. lefties) into a matchup at offense-inducing Miller Park against righty Jimmy Nelson (4.72 FIP, 1.37 WHIP in 2016).
Madison Bumgarner: With a 2.14 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP this season, the left-hander continues to rank among the most consistent aces in baseball. Bumgarner could deliver a stellar start when he works at his pitcher-friendly home park against a Reds lineup that ranks 24th in OPS vs. lefties (.717) and 25th in OPS on the road (.687).
Yu Darvish: With a 3.26 ERA and an 11.3 K/9 rate in the Majors, the right-hander has the skills to deliver a game-changing DraftKings total when he faces an A's lineup that ranks 27th with a .696 OPS against righties.
Matt Shoemaker: With a 2.39 ERA and a 93-to-10 strikeout-to-walk ratio across 12 starts since May 21, the right-hander is one of the hottest pitchers in baseball. Shoemaker could extend his run of success when he faces a Royals lineup that ranks 22nd in OPS vs. righties (.708) and 27th in total home runs (85).
Lance McCullers Jr.: The owner of a lifetime 3.26 ERA and 10.1 K/9 rate, the right-hander has the ability to deliver a stellar start when he works at home against a Yankees lineup that ranks 23rd in the Majors in OPS vs. righties (.706) and 28th in OPS on the road (.678).

Jason Hammel: With a 5.97 ERA across his past six starts, the right-hander could have a reduced price tag in DraftKings contests when he takes on a White Sox lineup that ranks 24th in the Majors with a .704 OPS against righties. Also working in Hammel's favor: The Cubs lead the Majors by a wide margin with a .730 defensive efficiency ratio.
