Raymond named new lead TV broadcaster

ARLINGTON -- Dave Raymond is taking over as the Rangers' lead television broadcaster and former pitcher C.J. Nitkowski is joining as an analyst, the club announced on Friday.
Raymond replaces Steve Busby, who had been a part of Rangers broadcasting for more than 26 years, including the past four as the lead TV broadcaster. Nitkowski will partner with Tom Grieve as an analyst and will work approximately 100 games.
Eric Nadel, the 2014 Ford C. Frick Award winner, is back for his 39th season doing radio play-by-play and will once again partner with Matt Hicks, who begins his fifth full season. Jared Sandler will handle pregame and postgame duties as well as some play-by-play when Nadel and Hicks take time off.
Emily Jones returns for her 11th season with the Rangers as the primary field reporter. She will also continue her video work for MLB.com.
Raymond is a 22-year broadcast veteran who worked 45 TV games last season and filled in on the radio as well. He was with the Astros' broadcasts in 2006-12 and MLB.com from '13-16. He has also worked with the Giants and the Orioles.
Nitkowski has been a national analyst on television and radio for the past three seasons. He spent 10 years in the Major Leagues, including pitching for the Rangers from 2002-03. He also spent two years apiece in Japan and Korea.
Grieve enters his 23rd season as a Rangers broadcaster and his 51st associated with the organization. He will work with both Raymond and Nitkowski, who will do some play-by-play.
