Roberts ties record with 6th 100-win season as manager

SAN FRANCISCO -- With another 162 regular-season games in the books, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has again found himself in rarefied air.

The Dodgers' 5-1 victory over the Giants in 10 innings on Sunday afternoon at Oracle Park -- keyed by Alex Call's go-ahead double and a three-run blast from Andy Pages -- secured a 100-win campaign, their fifth in the past seven full-length seasons and their sixth with Roberts at the helm.

Roberts joins Hall of Famers Bobby Cox and Joe McCarthy as the only managers with six 100-win seasons.

"I guess I'm in some rare air, some good company," said Roberts, who in June reached 1,000 career managerial wins faster than any other manager. "A lot of good players, a great organization, and it's not easy to win 100 games. And so there's a lot of things that we had to go through this year, and we just continue to remain steadfast and play on. And so, yeah, that's something to be proud of."

The last three seasons in which the Dodgers did not win 100 games -- 2025, '24 and the pandemic-shortened '20 campaign -- they won the World Series. In their 11 previous 100-win seasons, they failed to win a championship.

"That just means we’re due as an organization," Freddie Freeman said. "I don’t think any of us are going to be upset with winning 100 games."

The 2026 Dodgers are not just looking to win it all. They are defending their World Series title for the second year in a row, seeking to complete the Majors' first three-peat since the 1998-2000 Yankees.

After the bye week, in which they'll await the outcome of the Wild Card Series between the Braves and Phillies, the Dodgers' title defense begins in earnest in the NL Division Series, starting on Saturday at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers may have 100 wins in the books, but everything resets in the postseason. Moving forward, they're focused on getting the 11 wins they need to hoist the Commissioner's Trophy for a third straight year.
