LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers will bring 22 non-roster players to Major League Spring Training camp, including top prospects Cody Bellinger, Alex Verdugo and Willie Calhoun and division-clinching walk-off hero Charlie Culberson.
Bellinger, a smooth-swinging first baseman who can also play the outfield, is the top-ranked prospect in the Dodgers' farm system, according to MLBPipeline.com. Verdugo, an outfielder, is ranked second in the organization, while second baseman Calhoun is ranked third.
There will be nine non-roster pitchers, including Brandon Morrow, who was signed on Wednesday. Among the pitchers are prospects Josh Sborz (No. 14) and Trevor Oaks (No. 28).
Culberson, who made the club as a non-roster player last year, was outrighted off the roster in the offseason. He became a part of Dodgers lore when his walk-off homer in Vin Scully's last Dodger Stadium broadcast clinched the club's fourth consecutive National League West title.
