Dodgers dominating Padres thus far in 2017

While discussing his dust-up with Dodgers manager Dave Roberts after Friday night's game, Padres manager Andy Green became a bit emotional when he was discussing the current competitive gap between the two clubs. 
Clearly, the Dodgers are the team that Green wants the Padres to become.
"We're coming," Green said. "We're going to get there."
But the Padres are not there right now.
Saturday's 8-0 win by the Dodgers was their seventh in eight games against the Padres this season. In those eight games, the Dodgers have out-scored the Padres 63-18, including 18-4 the first two games of the current series.
None of the Dodgers seven wins over the Padres thus far have been closer than two runs. The Dodgers have scored in double digits in four of their wins and have won by six or more runs six times.  
Since the start of the 2015 season, the Dodgers have gone 32-14 against the Padres - the third-best mark in the Major Leagues by one team against another. The Padres haven't won a season series against the Dodgers since 2010 when they went 10-9.    
NOTE WORTHY
• CF Manuel Margot was 2-for-3 with a walk and two stolen bases Saturday night. He had two of the Padres' four hits and represented three of their five baserunners. Since returning from the disabled list June 27 - after missing a month with a right calf strain - Margot is 8-for-19 with two doubles, three walks and four stolen bases.
• CF Franchy Cordero was 4-for-5 with a double Friday night in his first game back with Triple-A El Paso. Promoted from El Paso when Margot went on the disabled list, Cordero was hitless in his last 25 at-bats with the Padres with 18 strikeouts. He was 1-for-31 after June 14 with 20 strikeouts as his batting average tumbled from .339 to .230.    
• INF Chase d'Arnaud was activated by the Padres from paternity leave Friday. Chase and Kaitlyn d'Arnaud are new parents of Jagger d'Arnaud. Since June 3, d'Arnaud is 1-for-26 with the lone hit being a home run.
• C-1B Héctor Sánchez hit a two-run, pinch-hit homer off Sergio Romo in the bottom of the ninth Friday night. It was Sanchez's third pinch-hit homer of the season. The Padres lead the Major Leagues with six pinch-hit homers this season
