CHICAGO -- The Dodgers submitted their roster for the National League Championship Series that started with an 8-4 loss Saturday, adding left-handed pitcher Alex Wood and right-handed-hitting infielder Kiké Hernández.
To make room, the Dodgers removed infielder Charlie Culberson and catcher Austin Barnes from their roster for the NL Division Series. Game 2 is set for Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on FS1.

Wood, a starter forced into relief coming off in-season elbow surgery, gives the Dodgers 12 pitchers, one more than they carried against the Nationals in the NLDS.
Hernandez gives manager Dave Roberts the option to platoon in center field or pinch-hit for Joc Pederson against Cubs' lefties, most notably Game 1 starter Jon Lester. Hernandez has hit well against Cubs lefties, and he has the only home run off Lester among the Dodgers. Hernandez is also 1-for-1 against reliever Aroldis Chapman. He's 3-for-12 lifetime against Lester, while Pederson is 0-for-3.
Wood gives Roberts another left-handed reliever to go with Grant Dayton and Luis Avilán, and Wood's addition to the roster indicates that lefty Julio Urías is a candidate to start in the NLCS. Urias relieved Rich Hill in the decisive NLDS Game 5 in Washington.
