Dodgers-Yankees Saturday game postponed; split DH Sunday

NEW YORK – A marquee matchup between two of baseball’s most recognizable franchises had to wait for another day. Saturday’s game between the Dodgers and Yankees was rescheduled due to a forecast of sustained inclement weather at Yankee Stadium.

The clubs will make up the game as the opener of a split-admission doubleheader on Sunday, with first pitch scheduled for 12:35 p.m. ET.

The Yankees' Cam Schlittler will start the opener against the Dodgers' Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The teams have not announced their Game 2 starters. New York's Ryan Weathers and Los Angeles' Emmet Sheehan had been scheduled to pitch Saturday.

Fans with paid tickets for Saturday’s game may use them for the rescheduled 12:35 p.m. ET game on Sunday, or exchange them for tickets to a similar regular-season game at Yankee Stadium (subject to availability) as described in the Yankees’ rain check policy, which can be found at www.yankees.com/raincheck.

Tickets dated Saturday, July 18, will be valid only for Game 1 on Sunday and will not be valid for Game 2, which is scheduled for 7:20 p.m. ET.

Yankee Stadium gates will open at 11 a.m. ET for Game 1 and at approximately 6 p.m. ET for Game 2.

Game 1 of Sunday’s split-admission doubleheader vs. the Dodgers will be broadcast by the YES Network. Game 2 will be broadcast by NBC/Peacock.
