Floro, Venditte activated; Garcia to 10-day DL

ANAHEIM -- While relying on Kenley Jansen, Scott Alexander and Daniel Hudson in leverage situations, the other pieces of the Dodgers' bullpen are unsettled, as Saturday's roster moves (and contemplated moves) demonstrated.
The club activated right-hander Dylan Floro (acquired on Wednesday in a four-player trade with the Reds) and switch-pitcher Pat Venditte. To make room, they placed Friday night's starting pitcher, Kenta Maeda, on the paternity list, and placed right-hander Yimi García on the disabled list with right forearm inflammation.
Maeda's strong outing on Friday night looked even more impressive after news that he had very little sleep on Thursday night because of the birth early Friday of he and his wife's second child, a son.
Maeda is still expected to make his next scheduled start on Wednesday, as the paternity list allows for a maximum of three days missed.
"We encouraged him to get the same amount of sleep before his next start," manager Dave Roberts joked.
Floro spent the end of 2017 with the Dodgers' OKC club, then left as a Minor League free agent.

"We see an uptick in velocity from then," Roberts said. "He puts the ball on the ground. There's a slider in there that continues to improve."
Garcia, who missed the 2017 season after Tommy John surgery, has allowed home runs in three of his last four appearances.
Buehler update
Roberts said if Walker Buehler's five-inning simulated game on Sunday is without incident, Buehler will start one of the games against the Angels at home next weekend. Starters will stay on regular rest for the series in San Diego, with Clayton Kershaw, Rich Hill, Maeda and Ross Stripling starting.
