SEATTLE -- Newly elected Hall of Famer Edgar Martinez and Seattle rap artist Macklemore will highlight the Opening Ceremonies on Thursday when the Mariners host the defending World Series champion Red Sox in a 4:10 p.m. PT home opener at T-Mobile Park.

The left-field gate will open for fans at 1 p.m. PT with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by broadcaster Rick Rizzs, Mariners chairman John Stanton and Macklemore, with a countdown to the official opening and the signing of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.”

All gates will open at 1:10 p.m., and Macklemore will perform live for a 10-minute program at 3:30 p.m. in The 'Pen in a performance that will also be shown live on the MarinersVision big screen.

Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready will play the national anthem at 3:53 p.m., followed by a flyover from an EA-18G Growler from the Naval Air Station at Whidbey Island.

Dakota Butteris, a 10-year-old from Bothell, will perform the annual Make-A-Wish Run Around the Bases tradition. Butteris is undergoing treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

The Opening Ceremonies will then be capped off by the ceremonial first pitch by Martinez at 4:03 p.m.
