Dodgers reliever Evan Phillips pitched a scoreless inning for Triple-A Oklahoma City against Sacramento at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark on Thursday. The left-hander, who is nearing a return from Tommy John surgery, gave up one hit and also walked one and struck out a batter on 19 pitches (11 strikes).

Thursday's appearance was Phillips' sixth since beginning a rehab assignment with Oklahoma City on June 4, and with the scoreless frame, he lowered his ERA over those six outings to 1.59. If all goes well, the 31-year-old right-hander could rejoin the Dodgers' bullpen sometime in July.

When Phillips does return, he'll make his first appearance in a Major League game since May 5, 2025. Overall, he has a 3.36 ERA over eight big league seasons. He's been excellent since the Dodgers picked him up off waivers from the Rays back in 2021. Over 201 appearances for Los Angeles, he has posted a 2.22 ERA and became one of manager Dave Roberts' most trusted arms in high-leverage situations.

The Dodgers re-signed Phillips to a one-year, $6.5 million contract this past offseason.
