Strickland (paternity leave) to miss SD series

PHOENIX -- Right-hander Hunter Strickland will miss the Giants' upcoming three-game series against the San Diego Padres due to paternity leave, manager Bruce Bochy said after Thursday night's 9-3 loss to Arizona.
Strickland's wife, Shelley, is expected to give birth to the couple's first child sometime this weekend.
Strickland hasn't allowed a run in three relief appearances spanning three innings so far.
Left-hander Steven Okert, who began the season with Triple-A Sacramento, is expected to replace Strickland on the active roster.
