College OF throws caution to the wind in jaw-dropping HR robbery

Houston Cougars center fielder Drew Bianco wasn’t about to let a silly little wall get in the way of his latest home run robbery.

Bianco went tumbling over the chest-high wall at full speed to snag a deep fly ball hit to left-center field in Houston’s game against the Incarnate Word Cardinals on Sunday, losing his lid in the process but holding onto the ball.

The son of Ole Miss coach Mike Bianco, Drew is in his first season with Houston after transferring from LSU, where he played for four years.

The outfielder is showing a knack for home run-robbing catches early in his Cougars tenure. He had another highlight-reel snag against Cal last week, slamming against the wall in center field -- again, losing his hat -- after making an impressive leaping catch to take away a would-be dinger.

Perhaps the only onlooker who wasn’t very impressed by Sunday’s incredible play was the young fan climbing the rock wall just beyond the outfield fence, giving the action unfolding in the background a ho-hum reaction before turning around to continue the climb.
