Kinsler exits with tight left hamstring

DETROIT -- Tigers second baseman Ian Kinsler left Wednesday night's 3-2 loss to the Indians with left hamstring tightness. He was replaced in the field in the top of the seventh inning by Andrew Romine.
Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said Kinsler told him about the tightness in the sixth, which is why Romine was sent out in the seventh. Speaking to reporters after the game, Ausmus added that he had not yet spoken to Kinsler for an update.
Kinsler, who entered the day batting .213 and was 0-for-3 in the game, will be re-evaluated Thursday, likely ahead of the 1:10 p.m. ET start against Indians. He's only missed one game this season, a routine off-day.
Detroit has had several regulars miss time recently, including Miguel Cabrera, who just returned from the 10-day disabled list Tuesday, and J.D. Martinez, who has still not been sent for a rehab assignment.
