Jackson Lovich just keeps making noise. How much noise? How about a three-homer game? How about five hits in a day?

The Yankees' third base prospect cranked three dingers Wednesday in Game 1 of a doubleheader for Single-A Tampa at George M. Steinbrenner Field, then collected two more knocks in the second game, giving him a 1.042 OPS for the season -- the highest among all Yankees prospects. And, oh yeah, he also leads that group in average (.315) and on-base percentage (.396).

The big day gave the 2025 draftee seven multi-hit games this month. The three-homer game was his second multi-homer game of the month, and was also the third time this month's he's collected three hits in a game. But despite Lovich's efforts Wednesday, Tampa dropped both games of the doubleheader to Clearwater.

All told, Lovich is hitting .404 in May with seven homers and a 1.337 OPS. Though he's unranked among Yankees prospects at the moment, performances like the one he gave Wednesday show that the rankings could be due for an update soon.
