The Cubs have reached agreement on a one-year, $2 million contract with right-handed reliever Jacob Webb, a source told MLB.com's Jordan Bastian on Monday. It includes a $4 million club option for 2028 with a $500,000 buyout.
The club has not confirmed the deal.
Webb made a team-leading 68 appearances out of the Cubs' bullpen in 2026, pitching to a 3.36 ERA with a 1.25 WHIP and 73 strikeouts in 67 innings while posting a whiff rate that ranked in the 96th percentile (33.3%) among qualified pitchers.
The 33-year-old Webb, a seven-year Major League veteran, was set to enter his final year of arbitration.
