Red Sox sign top Draft pick Schaffner

BOSTON -- The Boston Red Sox have signed 16 players selected in the 2026 MLB Draft, including shortstop Jake Schaffner, who the club drafted in the first round. Boston also signed non-drafted left-handed pitcher Carson Revay out of the University of the Pacific.
The Red Sox signed each of their first 13 selections in this year’s Draft: outfielder Owen Hull (Competitive Balance Round B), shortstop Jace Mataczynski (3rd round), right-handed pitcher Lucas Davenport (5th round), left-handed pitchers Brett Lanman (6th round), Kide Adetuyi (7th round), and Josh Volmerding (8th round), outfielder Martin Shelar (9th round), right-handed pitcher Kaleb LaFavor (10th round), shortstops Wills Maginnis (11th round) and Jacob Webster (12th round), and right-handed pitchers Mason Lei (13th round) and Jase Evangelista (14th round).

The Red Sox have also signed shortstop Colton Coates (16th round), and right-handed pitchers Alex Kranzler (17th round) and Luis Calderon (19th round).
All signees will report to Fort Myers, Fla.
