Jason Benetti's regular-season White Sox broadcasting career won't begin until April 9, when the South Siders host the Indians at U.S. Cellular Field, but the team's new home-game television announcer, who also will broadcast the road series in Toronto from April 25-27, already feels like he's part of the family.
"Everybody has been so welcoming and understanding," Benetti told MLB.com in a recent interview. "It's a long season. So there are going to be good games and we are going to have games we'd like to do better.
"There are small things we are improving already. I sound like a coach when I say this, but we just have to get better the next day. It's really true. I watch the games back. We watch the games back. We talk about things we did the day before and every game it's going to improve, it will get better in small ways."
