Dominguez to take over @MLB Instagram

Jasson Dominguez, one of baseball’s most promising prospects, is headed to Denver for the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, and you can follow his journey from his point of view all day Saturday.

Dominguez will take over MLB’s official Instagram account on Saturday, the day before Futures Game, which is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. ET Sunday. The seven-inning game will be televised exclusively on MLB Network and simulcast on MLB.com.

The 18-year-old Dominguez is the Yankees’ top prospect and No. 24 overall, and he has garnered comparisons to Mickey Mantle and Mike Trout. His otherworldly skills have earned him the nickname of "The Martian," and he will be the youngest player in the Futures Game since an 18-year-old Vladimir Guerrero Jr. participated in 2017.

Dominguez will also be the first ever player to play in the Futures Game before making his full-season debut. He made his first professional appearance on June 28 in the Florida Complex League. He is 2-for-11 through five games thus far. He has scored three runs and stolen a base. But the outlook for Dominguez, who possesses above-average power and speed, is blindingly bright.
