ATLANTA -- Phillies shortstop Jean Segura left Thursday’s game against the Braves at SunTrust Park because of a cramp in his left hamstring.

In the sixth inning, Segura pulled up after running to first base on an RBI single that cut the Braves’ lead to 4-3 in a game the Phils would go on to lose, 5-4.

“We have to evaluate him and take a look at him,” manager Gabe Kapler said.

Segura entered the game batting .283 with 12 home runs, 58 RBIs and 10 stolen bases. Scott Kingery moved from third base to shortstop to take his place. Maikel Franco entered the game as a pinch-runner and stayed in to play third.
