ARLINGTON -- The return of Mike Trout to their lineup surely lifted the Angels’ spirits Wednesday, but he didn’t have to carry too much weight. The other guys in the top of the order -- specifically Zach Neto, Vaughn Grissom and Jo Adell -- did the bulk of the heavy lifting in a 13-1 win over the Rangers at Globe Life Field.
With the rout, the Angels snapped a seven-game losing streak and won for the fourth time in five games against the Rangers this season.
Neto, Trout, Grissom and Adell went a combined 10-for-18 (.556) with 11 RBIs and three homers -- two by Adell, in the game’s most consequential swings.
“Just being able to come in and really take care of business all the way around, and have one of those games where we really take it to somebody ... it’s a confidence boost all the way around,” Adell said.
Neto sparked the Angels’ offense from the jump. He led off with a double and scored on Grissom’s RBI single. They reprised that inning in the fifth, with Neto leading off with another double and scoring again on a Grissom single after Trout worked a walk.
“With those two guys at the top -- pencil in [Trout] behind Neto, those two guys are the guys that kind of get us going,” Suzuki said.

With nine RBIs from the third and fourth hitters, the Angels found a simple way to win after so many complicated losses.
“It's nice hitting with guys in scoring position,” Grissom said. “And then it's nice being able to jog the bases with Jo Adell hitting behind you.”
Adell’s three-run homer in the fifth effectively put the game away. He recorded his 10th multihomer game, with a two-run smash in the fourth inning and a no-doubt, three-run blast in the fifth. Adell’s second homer, his 13th this season, traveled a Statcast-projected 433 feet before it clanked off the wall in the back of the visitors’ bullpen.
The second Adell homer afforded Trout a leisurely pace to score his first run since June 16, just before he went on the injured list with a right hamstring strain.
Trout launched a two-run homer in the eighth, driving in Neto again, after the Angels had already taken a commanding lead. Neto scored all three times he reached base.
Angels starting pitcher Walbert Ureña tossed four scoreless innings, walking five, fanning three and allowing one hit. He departed with a 7-0 lead, and the night was even less stressful for the four Angels relievers who pieced together the final five innings.
