Minor League pitchers Joe Colon and Joan Gregorio have been suspended for the remainder of the 2017 season without pay for violating Major League Baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program, the league announced on Saturday.
Colon, 27, is a member of the Indians' 40-man roster and recorded a 4.13 ERA in 32 2/3 innings for Triple-A Columbus this season. The right-hander tested positive for the Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator LDG-4022, a performance-enhancing substance.
Gregorio, 25, was 4-4 with a 3.04 ERA in 13 starts for Triple-A Sacramento this season and is on the Giants' 40-man roster. The righty, who is San Francisco's No. 8 prospect, tested positive for Stanozolol, also a performance-enhancing substance.
Both suspensions take effect immediately.
