Turner 'all good,' plays Saturday vs. Giants

SAN FRANCISCO -- Dodgers manager Dave Roberts was able to start third baseman Justin Turner on Saturday after all, as the third baseman remains a day-to-day decision because of a tight hamstring.
Though Turner ran carefully on the bases, he still notched three hits, including two doubles, scored twice and drove in two runs in the Dodgers' 7-2 victory over the Giants.

“He came out of yesterday feeling good,” Roberts before the game. “It’s all contingent on how he’s feeling. I’m watching how his body is moving. We’re still managing him. As far as how he’s feeling, it’s all good.”
The Dodgers play a two-game Interleague set against the Angels in Anaheim on Monday and Tuesday, when Roberts said he plans to use Turner as the designated hitter to further lessen demands on his leg. Wednesday is a scheduled day off.
Turner scorched balls in three of his four plate appearances Friday night -- a one-hopper that second baseman Joe Panik couldn't glove for an infield single, a line drive to right field, a soft line drive that first baseman Brandon Belt turned into a double play and another line drive to shortstop. His average exit velocity on the night was 95.3 mph.
Turner was injured while scoring from second base on May 29, then missed four starts before returning to the lineup Monday in Arizona.
