The A's are set to call up a pitching prospect to bolster their depth. Right-hander Kade Morris, ranked by MLB Pipeline as the club's No. 12 prospect, is headed to the Majors, a source told MLB.com's Martín Gallegos on Monday. The club has not confirmed the news.
Morris, a former third-round pick of the Mets, has posted a 4.45 ERA with 49 strikeouts and 26 walks across 60 2/3 innings and 11 starts at Triple-A Las Vegas this season.
The 23-year-old, whom the A's acquired from the Mets in a 2024 Trade Deadline deal involving Paul Blackburn, has a 4.42 ERA over 68 appearances (65 starts) in his pro career.
