The Minnesota Twins announced Sunday that they have returned left-handed pitcher Kendry Rojas from his rehab assignment and have reinstated him from the 15-day Injured List.

Rojas, who was placed on the 15-day IL on May 29 with left elbow inflammation and has missed the Twins’ last 24 games, made one appearance on rehab assignment for Triple-A St. Paul on June 18 vs. Omaha. He allowed five runs on five hits in 1.1 innings pitched, with one walk and one strikeout. Prior to being placed on the IL, the 23-year-old went 1-0 with a 1.26 ERA (14 1/3 IP, 2 ER), 10 walks, 14 strikeouts and a .224 opponent batting average in five games (1 start) across two stints with the Twins this season.

To make room for Rojas on the 26-man roster, the Twins have designated right-handed pitcher Justin Lawrence for release or assignment. Lawrence made seven relief appearances for Minnesota, allowing 12 runs on 10 hits in six innings pitched, with nine walks and 12 strikeouts.
