Kodai Senga, scratched from his previously scheduled rehab appearance with Double-A Binghamton on Tuesday due to right ulnar nerve irritation, was back on the mound Thursday with a performance that should put most concerns about his elbow to bed.

In his fourth rehab start since hitting the injured list on April 28 with lumbar spine inflammation, Senga threw 75 pitches (51 strikes) over six innings of work, striking out five and walking one with a hit by pitch mixed in against the Somerset Patriots.

He allowed one run on one hit, a home run by Yankees farmhand Coby Morales in the bottom of the second, and retired the final 10 batters he faced in order following the hit by pitch of Garrett Martin with two outs in the third.

Despite a more conservative pitch count -- prior to the setback, he had worked up to 91 pitches in his June 3 rehab start with Triple-A Syracuse -- the outing marks just the second time Senga has completed six innings in any game in 2026, the first being in his season debut on March 31 against the Cardinals.
