NEW YORK -- Baby Fundy has arrived, and everybody is healthy and doing well.

Alicia Funderburk, wife of Twins reliever Kody, gave birth to a healthy baby girl on Monday in Minnesota. Murphy Jo Funderburk arrived as expected, at 6 pounds 13 ounces, with Kody present.

The Funderburks recently revealed that Alicia is dealing with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which she was diagnosed as having as a result of testing early in her pregnancy. She has been undergoing chemotherapy, which was paused as the delivery date approached, and will resume in the coming weeks.

Kody Funderburk was placed on the paternity list Tuesday, allowing him up to three days away from the team, so he would most likely rejoin the Twins in St. Petersburg for their weekend series against the Rays.
