Here are the longest homers in Braves' history

ATLANTA -- Ronald Acuña Jr. isn’t the only one who has bolstered Atlanta’s offense with long, majestic home runs. Here is a list of the 10 longest homers hit by a Braves player going back to 2015, when Statcast began collecting this data.

1) Acuña: 495 feet vs. Red Sox, Sept. 25, 2020

You could say it was unfortunate that COVID-19 prevented fans from being within Truist Park to see this monstrous blast. But you could also argue that, fortunately, nobody was hit by this blast that came off the Braves star’s bat at 112.9 mph.

2) Adam Duvall: 483 feet at D-backs, Sept. 20, 2021

Duvall is the only player who has had two, three-homer games for the Braves, so maybe it shouldn’t be surprising to see him near the top of this list. This towering shot fueled the late-season surge that propelled the Braves to the 2021 World Series title.

3) Acuña: 481 feet vs. Cubs, April 27, 2021

Trevor Williams learned Acuña doesn’t just do damage against middle-middle pitches. This up-and-away fastball resulted in one of the 24 homers Acuña hit before tearing his right ACL two days before the 2021 All-Star break.

4) Marcell Ozuna: 479 feet vs. Cubs, April 29, 2021

This impressive blast at Truist Park matched the career long homer Ozuna had hit for the Cardinals against the Brewers on April 3, 2018.

5) Duvall: 477 feet at Rockies, Sept. 2, 2021

This wasn’t even Duvall’s longest homer of the month, but it still ranks as one of the longest ever hit by a Brave. This homer ripped through the Rocky Mountain air and landed on the concourse beyond the left-center-field wall at Coors Field.

6) Travis d’Arnaud: 474 feet vs. Rockies, June 16, 2023

How surprising was this distance? d’Arnaud has hit just three homers that have traveled at least 450 feet. This was the only one that went further than the 455-foot-homer he hit for the Mets against the Nationals on April 28, 2017.

7) Acuña: 473 feet vs. Yankees, Aug. 26, 2020 (tied)

Acuña made a believer out of Gerrit Cole when he pulled this outer-third, 3-2 fastball and watched it sail deep over the left-center-field wall.

8) Austin Riley: 473 feet vs. Cardinals, April 3, 2023

Riley’s second career homer to be projected at longer than 470 feet easily cleared the left-field seats before landing on Busch Stadium’s concourse.

9) Riley: 471 feet vs. Nationals, Sept. 4, 2020

Riley did what he was supposed to do against this hanging slider.

10) Acuña: 470 feet vs. Red Sox, May 10, 2023

Acuña’s fourth entry on this top 10 list initially looked like it might leave the stadium and end up on I-285.
