At this rate, the MLB Play of the Week Award presented by W.B. Mason is soon going to be renamed after Lorenzo Cain.
The Brewers' center fielder earned the honors again Monday, winning it for the second time this season after yet another incredible homer robbery.
Cain showed off his athleticism in the second inning at Citi Field on Friday night, leaping well above the wall in center field to take a home run away from Mets veteran Todd Frazier and keep the game scoreless.
The Brewers capitalized immediately, scoring five times in the top of the third, and Cain later cleared the bases with a double in the fifth inning to increase Milwaukee’s lead to 8-1.
The 33-year-old also won the MLB Play of the Week Award in the first week of the regular season after his game-ending home run robbery on Opening Day against the Cardinals. That catch erased what would have been a game-tying homer by Jose Martinez.

The Play of the Week Award is new for the 2019 campaign, making Cain the first two-time winner. Astros shortstop Carlos Correa, Padres third baseman Manny Machado and A’s center fielder Ramon Laureano have won it once each.
