Campusano, Bogaerts combine for 6 RBIs to push Padres' win streak to 6

CLEVELAND -- Luis Campusano delivered the go-ahead, two-run double in the fifth inning and finished with three RBIs, lifting the Padres to a 7-5 victory over the Guardians in their series opener on Friday night.
Xander Bogaerts also drove in three, highlighted by a two-run homer in the fourth, as San Diego erased a 3-0 deficit by scoring five straight runs off Gavin Williams in front of a sellout crowd at Progressive Field.
The Padres extended their winning streak to six and remained in the second Wild Card spot in the National League. Fernando Tatis Jr. added a solo shot in the fifth for San Diego, which is 10-3 this month and has won 16 of 20 since July 24.
Michael King (8-8) labored through six innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on a season-high eight hits for the victory. The right-hander is 3-0 with a 1.26 ERA in eight career appearances (three starts) against Cleveland.
Rookie right-hander Bradgley Rodriguez worked the ninth to record the first save of his MLB career.
Cleveland built a 3-0 lead on a solo homer from Nathaniel Lowe in the second, and another solo blast from Brayan Rocchio and an RBI single by Lowe in the third. Williams (11-7) gave up five runs in 4 1/3 innings.
