Heredia exits after HBP on right forearm

SEATTLE -- Mariners center fielder Guillermo Heredia was removed from Wednesday's 7-6 win over the Orioles after taking a 91-mph fastball from Ubaldo Jiménez off his right forearm in the fifth inning, but manager Scott Servais said the 26-year-old should be fine by Friday when the club opens a 12-game road trip at Tampa Bay.
"He's fine," Servais said. "X-rays were negative. He's OK."
Heredia stayed in the game and wound up scoring the go-ahead run in a three-run Mariners rally, but he was replaced in the field in the top of the sixth by Jarrod Dyson.
Heredia doubled in a run in the third, and the rookie from Cuba is hitting .287 with six homers and 22 RBIs on the season.
The Mariners are already down one outfielder, as Mitch Haniger is on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma after being hit in the face by a Jacob deGrom pitch on July 29, but Leonys Martin has filled in well since being recalled from Tacoma.
