Lazaro Montes keeps giving Mariners fans reasons to be excited about the future.

Seattle's No. 4 prospect (MLB No. 30) per MLB Pipeline had a second straight multi-hit game on Friday, including a go-ahead homer in the ninth that led Double-A Arkansas to an 11-8 win over Northwest Arkansas at Arvest Ballpark.

The homer was Montes' eighth of the season -- and fifth this month -- giving the 21-year-old a 1.000 OPS in May. The power surge shouldn't come as a surprise, as the lefty-swinging slugger is one of just nine ranked prospects with a power tool that's graded 65 or higher.

Friday's multi-hit effort was Montes' fifth this month, which has raised his batting average by more than 30 percentage points.
