Marlins-Guardians PPD Friday; twin bill Saturday

CLEVELAND -- For the second time this week, the Guardians will need to play a twin bill due to rain.

The series opener between the Marlins and Guardians on Friday night was postponed due to inclement weather. It will be made up as a traditional doubleheader on Saturday, beginning at 3:10 p.m. ET. Only those with tickets to Saturday’s originally scheduled game may attend the doubleheader.

Fans who had tickets to Friday’s game may exchange them for tickets to one of 39 game options, including Saturday’s doubleheader. Tickets must be exchanged by Wednesday, May 31 at 5 p.m. ET.

Cleveland will have ace Shane Bieber take the mound for Saturday's matinee, but the Marlins have yet to announce their starter. For Game 2, the Guardians will send Zach Plesac, who was scheduled to pitch on Friday, to the rubber to face Miami lefty Braxton Garrett.
