Max Clark has been showing off all of his tools this month, and Thursday was another big performance for Triple-A Toledo.

Clark posted three hits Thursday out of the leadoff spot, helping Toledo to a 13-3 win over Louisville at Fifth Third Field. It was the sixth multi-hit game of the month for Clark and his third game with at least three hits this season.

Clark, the Tigers’ top prospect and MLB Pipeline’s No. 13 overall, began his day with a walk in the first inning. He promptly stole a base, too, but was stranded at second.

Clark laced a two-out single to right field in the second, a 106.9 mph line drive. He collected another hard-hit ball in the sixth, poking a 102.9 mph liner to center field for a single. The 21-year-old outfielder advanced to third on a Jace Jung single then scored on a wild pitch.

Clark’s final hit came in the eighth. Jammed on an inside pitch, he pushed a soft liner toward second base and used his 70-grade speed to beat the throw. He again took the extra base on a Jung single and scored on a Gage Workman single.

Clark finished the day 3-for-4 overall with two runs scored, a walk and a steal. The 2023 No. 3 overall pick has been excellent in July, slashing .316/.435/.544 with three homers, four doubles and four steals.
