Mets reopen Spring Training complex in Fla.

NEW YORK -- For the first time in more than two months, the Mets have opened the doors to their Spring Training complex in Port St. Lucie, Fla. The team's Clover Park facilities had been shuttered since late March before reopening Monday for players who live locally.

A team official estimated that four to six players have already begun training at the complex. All activities must take place while observing MLB, CDC, and local and state safety protocols.

Catcher Wilson Ramos posted a pair of videos on Instagram on Tuesday of himself working out in the Mets' newly renovated weight room.

"Good day today back to work I really missed this," Ramos wrote in the caption.

Several Mets, including Jeff McNeil and Brandon Nimmo, did not leave Port St. Lucie after the COVID-19 pandemic forced the club to shut down its facility. (Those two kept in shape by working out in Nimmo's garage.) Others, including Yoenis Céspedes, live full-time in the area.
