Lower back tightness could again restrict Harris' playing time

ATLANTA -- Michael Harris II’s latest bout with lower back tightness could limit his availability over the next few days.

Harris was removed after the first inning of Tuesday night’s suspended game against the Giants at Truist Park. He scored from second base on a Mauricio Dubón single and didn’t return to play center field when the second inning began. The game was suspended in the bottom of the frame, with Atlanta trailing 3-2.

“Hopefully he comes in tomorrow and he's feeling better,” Braves manager Walt Weiss said. “We'll check with him tomorrow and see where we go with that.”

Harris also felt lower back discomfort near the end of a June 5 game against the Pirates. He was left out of the lineup the next two days, but delivered a game-winning pinch-hit double on June 7.

Dubón replaced Harris in center field on Tuesday and made a run-saving diving catch during the second inning.
