Sources: Saunders to play for Canada in WBC

Outfielder Michael Saunders will play for Canada in the 2017 World Baseball Classic, sources told MLB.com's Jon Morosi on Tuesday.
Saunders, a free agent, hit .253/.338/.478 with 24 home runs and 57 RBIs in 140 games for the Blue Jays last season.
Saunders, a British Columbia native, has previously represented Canada in the 2008 Olympics and 2013 World Baseball Classic, where he was named to the All-World Baseball Classic team.
The 30-year-old Saunders is a .235 career hitter in eight Major League seasons with the Mariners and Blue Jays.
