PHOENIX – Reds left fielder Michael Toglia left Friday’s game against the Diamondbacks with a dislocated right shoulder, suffering the injury in the first inning after making a diving catch on a line drive from Geraldo Perdomo. He landed awkwardly and was in visible pain almost immediately, with team training staff holding his right arm as he exited the game.
The 28-year-old, who signed a Minor League contract with Cincinnati this past offseason, has appeared in 10 games this season since getting called up from Triple-A Louisville on Aug. 11. He has appeared in 290 career MLB games dating back to 2022, the other 280 of them coming with the Rockies.
Outfielder TJ Friedl replaced Toglia in left field following the injury.
