MILWAUKEE -- Brewers third baseman Mike Moustakas was day to day after exiting Saturday’s 5-0 win over the Dodgers with a bruised right ring finger from a one-hop grounder that struck his hand in the fifth inning.

Mostakas said X-rays were negative. He stayed in the game through the end of the sixth but had trouble gripping the bat during a strikeout.

“I just wasn’t able to get my hand out of the way,” he said. “It kind of hit the top of my finger and that was that. I felt pretty good the rest of the inning and then went to my at-bat and was a little uncomfortable, so [manager Craig Counsell] got me out of there.”

Moustakas is second on the team to Christian Yelich with six home runs this season.
