ARLINGTON -- Mike Trout collected his fourth home run of the season on Tuesday night, launching a 441-foot moonshot to left field off left-hander Martín Pérez in the second inning of the Angels' 11-1 rout of the Rangers at Globe Life Park.
Trout got ahead in the count, 2-1, before crushing a changeup in the lower half of the strike zone from Perez. The ball flew off Trout's bat at 112 mph and put the Angels ahead, 4-0.
"It felt good," Trout said. "Timing has been better the last few games."
Trout collected two hits on Tuesday and is now batting .245 (12-for-49) with a .902 OPS through his first 12 games this season.
