Major League Baseball on Wednesday announced each club's official first workout dates as well as photo days for Spring Training presented by Camping World, interrupting all of this #snowday drivel with a warm blast of Cactus League and Grapefruit League anticipation.
First workouts for pitchers and catchers will be on Feb. 14 for most clubs. The Indians, Mariners, Rangers and Brewers start on Feb. 15, and the Nationals on Feb. 16.
First full-squad workouts will be on Feb. 19 for all but four clubs. The Mariners, Rangers and Brewers begin on Feb. 20, and the Nationals on Feb. 21.

It will mean the first chance to see Giancarlo Stanton with the Yankees, Shohei Ohtani with the Angels, Marcell Ozuna with the Cardinals, Evan Longoria and Andrew McCutchen as Giants, Gerrit Cole with the Astros, Carlos Santana with the Phillies, Wade Davis with the Rockies, Dee Gordon with the Mariners, Yonder Alonzo with the Indians, Brandon Morrow and Tyler Chatwood as Cubs, Jay Bruce back with the Mets, Fernando Rodney with the Twins and many other new looks.
Soon the equipment trucks will be leaving their regular-season homes for destinations across Florida and Arizona, and pitchers and catchers will begin reporting to camps. The first workouts mean a chance to once again hear the crack of bats and the pop of balls into mitts. Then the exhibition schedule will get underway with Arizona State vs. D-backs on Feb. 21, and the first games between MLB clubs on Feb. 23.
