MLB to celebrate Mother's Day, raise awareness in fight against breast cancer

Major League Baseball, its Clubs and MLB Together partners are showcasing their efforts this Mother’s Day to honor moms and raise awareness for breast cancer nationwide. This initiative focuses on providing critical support to combat a disease projected to claim nearly 42,000 lives in the U.S. this year. Driven by the reality that families lose a loved one to breast cancer every single day, MLB is leveraging its platform to promote early detection and life-saving research through activations on and off the field.

This Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 10th), the traditional look of the game is traded for a sea of pink, integrated through specialized gear and honorable moments:
