MLB The Show 21 launches Fall Circuit

The final season of eSports tournaments for MLB The Show 21 have begun, starting with The Show’s Fall Circuit that was announced on Sept. 27.

The first qualifier for the Fall Circuit Grand Finals was held from Saturday through Sunday, with Day 1 consisting of a Swiss tournament format while the top 128 players advanced to a single-elimination bracket on Day 2.

There are, however, still two opportunities for cross-platform competitors (ages 13 and up in the U.S. and Canada) to qualify for the Grand Finals: The second qualifier will be held from Oct. 16-17, and the third qualifier will run from Nov. 13-14.

Open Qualifier Prizes:

• 1st place: 1,050,000 MLB The Show 21 Stubs
• 2nd place: 600,000 MLB The Show 21 Stubs
• 3rd-4th place: 300,000 MLB The Show 21 Stubs
• 5th-8th place: 150,000 MLB The Show 21 Stubs
• 9th-16th place: 67,500 MLB The Show 21 Stubs
• 17th-32nd place: 24,000 MLB The Show 21 Stubs
• 33rd-64th place: 11,000 MLB The Show 21 Stubs

All players who finish their games will receive 5,000 Stubs, win or loss

All Fall Circuit qualifiers begin at 12 p.m. ET, with check-in beginning an hour before the tournament. Any player who doesn’t place in the top 16 on their first entry can try again in any of the remaining qualifiers.

The Grand Finals will run from Dec. 4-5, featuring a single-elimination bracket with the top 64 players from the three open qualifiers, with $25,000 in total cash prizing on the line. Games between the final four competitors will air on the San Diego Studio Twitch channel on Dec. 5, and the first-place winner will take home $15,000. Those who make it to the Grand Finals broadcast will also win gift vouchers to the MLB Shop and authentic baseballs used in the MLB 2021 Home Run Derby.

• 2nd place: $5,000 USD
• 3rd place: $3,000 USD
• 4th place: $2,000 USD
• 5th-8th place: 150,000 MLB The Show 21 Stubs
• 9th-16th place: 67,500 MLB The Show 21 Stubs
• 17th-32nd place: 24,000 MLB The Show 21 Stubs
• 33rd-64th place: 11,000 MLB The Show 21 Stubs

Following the Fall Circuit, MLB The Show 21 will host one more competitive event before the end of the year: The Dynasty Invitational, which will run from Dec. 18-19.

Per the MLB The Show 21 news release, "The Dynasty Invitational will feature the Diamond Dynasty elite of our community, highlighting the most positively impactful competitive players in our player base and top performers from the MLB The Show 21 Summer and Fall Circuits."

Sixteen invitees will face off in a double-elimination bracket, with that tournament’s Grand Finals being broadcast on the San Diego Studio Twitch channel on Dec. 19. The Dynasty Invitational will feature $50,000 in total cash prizing, and the winner will bring home $24,000.

• 1st place: $24,000 USD
• 2nd place: $10,000 USD
• 3rd place: $3,000 USD
• 4th place: $2,500 USD
• 5th place: $2,000 USD
• 6th place: $1,750 USD
• 7th place: $1,500 USD
• 8th place: $1,250 USD
• 9th-16th place: $500 USD

In addition, some Dynasty Invitational winners will receive Topps Now hobby boxes, a bobblehead, gift vouchers to the MLB Shop, a custom MLB branded gaming chair and authentic baseballs used in a 2021 World Series game.

For those looking for a more casual gaming experience, MLB The Show 21 will also host fall exhibition tournaments. There will be 11 exhibition tournaments that run alongside the Fall Circuit from October through November. The first of these tournaments begins on Oct. 9.
