Nats acquire Gushue from Bucs for Bostick

WASHINGTON -- The Nationals acquired catcher Taylor Gushue and cash from the Pirates on Monday in exchange for infielder Chris Bostick, who was designated for assignment when the team reinstated Joe Ross from the 60-day DL last week.
Gushue was a fourth-round Draft pick by the Pirates in 2014 from the University of Florida. He spent this past season with Class A Advanced Bradenton, hitting .226/.282/.357.
Bostick, 23, spent the year between playing in Double-A and Triple-A for Washington where he had a .700 OPS and eight homers in 135 games. He was acquired by the Nationals in December 2014, along with right-hander Abel De Los Santos in exchange for left-hander Ross Detwiler.
