Nats' Sanchez OK after HBP; Bautista called up

WASHINGTON -- Nationals infielder Adrían Sanchez was released from the hospital Sunday morning after he was kept overnight to monitor his breathing. A CT scan revealed no issues for Sanchez following a scary scene during the eighth inning of Saturday's 9-4 victory, when he took a 96-mph sinker off his chest from Mets right-hander Jeurys Familia.
Sanchez stayed in the game long enough to deliver a run-scoring single, as he drove in a career-best three RBIs on the day, before he was eventually removed from the game for a pinch-runner. The Nationals announced Sanchez -- aka "El Chamo" for the inaugural Players Weekend -- was doing OK, per a team spokesperson, and would remain on the active roster.
Sanchez's availability for Sunday's split doubleheader is unclear, and the Nationals brought up an extra position player as a reinforcement when they promoted outfielder Rafael Bautista from Triple-A Syracuse and optioned right-hander A.J. Cole in his place. Erick Fedde, the starter for the first game, was also activated as the 26th man for Sunday's doubleheader.

Bautista -- the team's No. 13 prospect as rated by MLBPipeline.com -- had a brief stint in the Majors earlier this season before he injured his right hamstring and spent about two months on the disabled list. He returned to action earlier this month.
"It's disappointing more than anything," Bautista said through an interpreter. "You know you might go through this, but I put my faith in God and rehabbed hard and I went back at it. I'm ready to go."
