7 brand-new looks, bold identities join Copa de la Diversión for 2026
With additions from jumping beans to flying wrestlers, the Minor League Baseball landscape is getting even wilder in 2026.
This year's Copa de la Diversión -- literally, "Fun Cup" -- extends and expands the annual season-long series dedicated to embracing the culture and values that resonate with MiLB teams' local Hispanic and Latino communities. Two teams are adopting Copa identities for the first time and five clubs are undergoing a total rebrand of their Copa identities.
Here's a look at the new Copa brands hitting a Minor League ballfield this year.
Charlotte Knights (Triple-A CWS)
Guacamayas de Charlotte
Guacamaya is the Spanish word for macaw, and the Knights explain that macaws "symbolize sacred union and lasting relationships" in Latin culture. The team offers this Copa identity as a pledge to continue to build a meaningful lasting relationship with the Latin American community of Charlotte, which the Knights note "has become a very popular transplant city." Columbus Clingstones (Double-A ATL)
Refrescos de Fuente
This is just the second season of existence for the Double-A Clingstones, who are diving into Copa de la Diversión with an identity inspired by a nickname -- The Fountain City -- for their burg (Columbus, Ga.). Refrescos de Fuente, Spanish for fountain soft drinks, celebrates both Columbus' stately public fountains and, per the team, "the city's rich connection ... to soda culture." The logo is an anthropomorphized ice cream soda following through on a swing of its straw. No doubt, that baseball is headed for the drink. Shop »
El Paso Chihuahuas (Triple-A SD)
El Paso Matachines
Based in the only Minor League ballpark where you can see across the border into Mexico, the Chihuahuas tap into a Southwestern U.S./northern Mexico tradition that blends indigenous, Spanish and Mexican influences: Matachines. Dancers known for elaborate headdresses and ayoyotes -- Aztec percussion instruments worn on the ankles or wrists -- Matachines are a symbol of heritage, pride and unity in the El Paso-Ciudad Juarez region. Fayetteville Woodpeckers (Single-A HOU)
Frijoles Saltarines
The Woodpeckers' home is also home to Fort Bragg and the U.S. Army's legendary 82nd Airborne Division. Taking inspiration from paratroopers, the Frijoles Saltarines are ready to jump into action. The the Frijoles Saltarines -- literally "jumping beans' -- identity was designed as a tribute to Hispanic service members as well as to Fayetteville's Latino community as a whole and the idea that, per the team, "the unshakeable belief that baseball is for everyone." Hill City Howlers (Single-A CLE)
Luchadores Voladores de Hill City
Proud of Lynchburg's "fighting spirit, resiliency and passion," Hill City introduces the Luchadores Voladores (flying fighters, or wrestlers), bringing lucha libra energy to the ballpark. The Howlers designed the identity to be "about bold plays, fearless competition, and putting on a show for the fans every single night. It’s a celebration of culture, history, and the relentless fight that lives inside Lynchburg." Shop »
Hub City Spartanburgers (High-A TEX)
Gusanos de Mezcal del 'Burg
Last year was the Spartanburger's inaugural season, and they're making a splash with their first leap into the Copa de la Diversión waters. "Gusanos de Mezcal" are mezcal worms, and Hub City's identity seeks to evoke "the smoky spirit of mezcal and the legendary gusano — the agave worm that’s become a symbol of strength, tradition, and flavor." The logo features an anthropomorphized gusano as a jimidor, or agave farmer, which serves as a nod to Spartanburg-area agricultural workers. Shop »

Las Bicicletas del Noroeste de Arkansas
Northwest Arkansas has become a major destination for both mountain biking and cycling, with over 500 miles of soft-surface trails and 204 miles of paved bike paths. Las Bicicletas del Noroeste de Arkansas runs with the spirit of adventure that's thriving in the region, honoring "the shared values of family, outdoor fun and connection in hopes of creating memorable experiences at the ballpark."
