Episode 1 of new NBC docuseries 'Road to the Show' -- featuring 6 top prospects -- out today

The baseball journey from highly touted prospect to The Show is a rigorous one. And for the first time, fans will have never-before-seen access to that path for some of baseball’s brightest young stars.

Major League Baseball and NBC Sports announced on Wednesday that an all-new docuseries, “Road to the Show,” will take viewers through the defining moments that shape baseball's next generation, capturing the pressure, sacrifice and determination involved in pursuing a Major League dream while highlighting the families, coaches and teammates who make that journey possible.

“Road to the Show” debuts with its pilot episode today on Peacock. The five-part series will feature six of the game’s most exciting young players – four MLB prospects and two top college prospects who are expected to be taken in the first round of the MLB Draft on July 11.

Each 30-minute episode, narrated by baseball content creator Dan Sarmiento (DSARM), will offer an intimate look beyond the box score, chronicling breakthrough performances, setbacks and personal milestones as these rising stars take the next steps in their careers.

Following today’s premiere episode, the remaining four episodes will air on Friday, July 10; Sunday, July 19; Sunday, July 26 and Sunday, Aug. 2. The entire series can be streamed on Peacock.
