Women's College World Series submits nominee for HR robbery of year

There is no feeling quite like the one you get by robbing a home run. And that feeling is exponentially intensified when you're playing for a championship.

Just ask Jayda Coleman.

The Oklahoma softball outfielder made a tremendous leaping grab at the wall in left-center field to rob Texas' Courtney Day of a home run in Game 2 of the Women's College World Series on Thursday night in Oklahoma City.

Coleman took away what would have been a two-run shot, limiting the Longhorns to two runs in the first inning. The Sooners tied the game in the fourth and scored four runs each in the fifth and sixth on their way to a 10-5 victory and a second consecutive NCAA title.
